Students at Bio-Med developed Puzzle Cubes inspired by a Project Lead The Way assignment. Bio-Med students used the design process to design their own puzzle that would fit into a 3x3x3 cube to be solved by their peers. Students enjoyed the end of the project when they all traded puzzles and had a 'puzzle cube solving day' in class. The best part was that our students saw value in a project they put so much time and effort into. They took ownership of their learning and had fun in the process.
We expanded on the project by sending out 3D files to our partner school in Taiwan to be 3D printed and have the puzzles solved by their students. Then we took their data and compared it to our student data to do a statistical analysis. |
